CAN’T MISS US (OR CAN AVOID US, IF YOU WANT TO 😊) – OUR CONFERENCE ROADMAP 2026 / 2027

It shows “Where to Meet Us Next” and lists the upcoming conferences at which we hope to meet our partners, friends, colleagues, and customers throughout 2026 and 2027.

Our road began in January in Rotterdam with IHI PROBE and soon returned to familiar territory in Vienna for ECR. Spring carried us to Prague for ESCEO, and summer to London for EULAR and Munich for IWOAI. By autumn, the route will bend southwest towards the Iberian Peninsula, with stops in Madrid (EORS) and Porto for the ICRS Summit.

Eventually, the journey will stretch much farther east. The COA conference in Guangzhou will expand over five weeks and will be accompanied by visits to colleagues in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing, and Seoul.

In 2027, the Barcelona–Vienna–Barcelona triple (IHI PROBE, ECR, and OARSI) will open the season. Vienna will then welcome us back for ESCEO, before we will head to the spectacular and volcanic landscapes of Iceland for QMSKI. Rotterdam follows with ICRS, then Vienna once again for ATIO, Berlin for EULAR, and Boston for IWOAI. The conference year will end with a grand finale under the Cretan sun in Chania (EORS).

Some journeys are about presenting data. Others begin with a conversation over coffee with friends and colleagues, or future partners, and with a few strategic questions.

Which new image acquisition and image analysis methods are appearing on the horizon? How far has AI moved forward over the past year? What exciting new and quantitative imaging biomarkers have been developed, tested, and clinically validated, and where is the field heading in terms of proxies, surrogate outcomes, and endpoints for clinical osteoarthritis trials?

Where will the regulators take us in relation to structural improvement and disease modification, rather than symptomatic treatment alone; how many different therapies may ultimately be needed to safeguard joint health across a heterogeneous patient population; and how will these treatments be adopted by insurers and healthcare systems.

Take a look at the roadmap. There is a fair chance that, sooner or later, our paths will cross. Let’s not miss the opportunity to get together, philosophy, and enjoy eachother company.
